Let's model the (present-day) Alps
Boris Kaus and Georg Reuber from the University of Mainz invite interested 4DMB members (students, postdocs, PIs) to a 3-day introduction into geodynamic modeling.
What you will learn:
- Create a 3D Alps model setup
- Run simulations with open-source code
- Change model parameters
- Extract testable hypothesis
- Uplift rates, stresses, flow fields
No previous knowledge needed! In order to register, write a mail to Boris Kaus (kaus@uni-mainz.de) or Georg Reuber (reuber@uni-mainz.de) until the 30th of November.
